As a child and teenager, I found my voice and my love for performing for others on the stage. Spending my free time in drama and dance taught me that people can hear any message, so long as you present it to them in a way they can receive it. My love for connecting with others transformed into a passion for teaching, presenting, and consultation when I was in graduate school where I got to hone my presentation skills in professional settings. I first began as an educator within my university, and that evolved into consultation and presenting through my outreach and advocacy efforts. When I’m working as a facilitator, I deeply value a combination of shared knowledge, connection with others, engaging in difficult dialogue, and working toward desired growth and change. My style is warm, relatable, and accessible, and I love infusing playfulness and levity into professional conversations.
Dr. Danica Harris and Dr. Brittany Escuriex have ten years of experience facilitating together, and over 20 years of experience individually presenting and facilitating in a professional capacity. They have built a highly successful group therapy practice in Dallas, Texas with 21 team members and have offered trainings and consultations to therapists and professionals across the U.S. and internationally. Their styles complement each other well, and their shared and unique knowledge make them a great fit for group or solo presentations.
I first fell in love with public speaking when I worked as a skin-care educator for an international skin-care company in my early 20’s. Looking back on that time now, I’m amazed at my ability to stand in front of large audiences at such an early time in my professional career, and that experience taught me something that has been foundational as I have progressed as a speaker, educator, facilitator, and professional. Through this experience I learned that if you are present and available to the room you are in, then you’ll be giving them the best of you and what you have to offer. In the years since, I have continued to show up as present and available as a university professor, a consultant, a speaker, an advocate, and a leader in a way that fosters growth, connection, and necessary change. My facilitation style is fiercely gentle, engaging, and relational, and I am extremely passionate about supporting other professionals as they navigate challenging, growth-oriented, and important conversations and experiences in personal and professional spaces.
