Do you feel like your body is struggling to catch up with what your brain already knows? Have you done a lot of healing work but find yourself still struggling in your relationships? Do you long for the opportunity to connect in-person with other people who REALLY get what you’ve been through?

Join us for this trauma healing retreat where you can expect to experience a transformation that is equivalent to months of weekly therapy. By stepping out of your life for a few days, and letting us take care of all of the things that you usually have to worry about, you’ll have the time, space, container, and community support, to really tend to yourself.

who is this for?

Consider this an all-inclusive experience! All you will need to do is get yourself to the retreat location in Dallas, Texas, and we will cover the rest.

All lodging, catered meals by a private chef, activities, swag bag, healing materials, and resources will be provided for you.

Your facilitators are well supported by an administrative team that is working behind the scenes to ensure your stay is safe, comfortable and well-organized. This allows the retreat leaders to be fully emotionally and energetically available to you and the rest of the group all weekend long.

PLUS! There will be a mental health professional on-site throughout the entire retreat weekend, so if you need or want additional or one-on-one support, someone will be available to you!

The transformation you’ll experience:

Itinerary of events:

  • Individual Coaching Session: After you register you will sign up for a coaching session with Danica & Brittany where they will learn about you, you can ask questions, and your individual needs can begin to be addressed.
  • Building the container: Meet all the participants, facilitators, and support staff at this virtual event! Our virtual meeting will be held Monday November 3rd at 7pm CST, so please reserve this time in your calendar!
  • Arrival, Thursday: Retreat orientation begins at 5pm, Dinner at 6:30pm
  • Day 1, Friday:  Group facilitation: Creating safety, understanding the nervous system, containment
  • Extra activities: Trauma-Conscious Movement and documentary night
  • Day 2, Saturday: Group facilitation: Befriending your nervous system, differentiating stress from traumatic stress, understanding attachment
  • Extra activities: Expressive Arts and Sound Bath Healing
  • Day 3, Sunday: Group facilitation: Moving past shame and finding your way back to your body
  • Extra activities: Trauma-Conscious Movement and a facial party
  • Departure, Monday: Breakfast, closing activity, and goodbyes completed by 10am

You can expect community. You can expect support. You can expect education. You can expect fun. You can expect gentleness. You can expect embodiment. You can expect to go home with tools, resources, and an increased sense of connection with yourself.


This won’t just be a serious space. We know trauma survivors sometimes need help tapping into their younger, more playful parts, and each and every part of you will be accepted and honored during this retreat.

There will be support staff and highly trained therapists available during all hours of the retreat so you can trust that if you need support, you will get it in the moment.




There will be a mix of activities, education, gentle movement and engagement with your body, and community building.



You will learn how to build your own internal resources, and we will be customizing the retreat with all of the participants in mind. While we have a plan for the topics we intend to cover, we will meet with each participant one on one prior to the retreat to ensure that we begin the relationship with each attendee before they even arrive so we can consider all of your specific needs in our final plan.



This will be a space free of diet talk, anti-Blackness, homophobia, sizeism, ableism, and any other form of discrimination or oppression.


We understand that trauma was anything that was too much, too fast for the nervous system, so this experience has been designed to be intentional and flexible to the needs of the folx who are in attendance.

We believe that healing happens in trauma-informed spaces, so you can expect us to consider what is needed to provide a safe container for this experience.

Who is this trauma healing retreat best for?
This retreat is ideal for trauma survivors, those who are looking for something deeper or more intensive, or those feeling chronically disconnected from themselves. It’s also supportive for anyone seeking a safe, affirming space for self-discovery, nervous system healing and a safe container to learn to build body trust and safety.

What does somatic healing mean in this retreat setting?
Somatic healing means reconnecting with your body as a resource for recovery. At Healing Your Way Home, we use gentle practices like movement, breathwork, and your intuitive somatic experience to help you regulate your nervous system and release stored trauma. This combination of somatics, attachment, self-acceptance, and support from your facilitators, helps participants feel grounded, safe, and more whole.

How is this retreat different from therapy?
Unlike weekly therapy, a somatic healing retreat offers immersive time in community, creating space for deeper breakthroughs and more opportunities for regulation. It’s not a replacement for therapy, but it provides powerful experiences of safety, connection, and embodiment that support long-term healing. Past participants have shared that they have gotten more out of their retreat experience than they did in years of one on one therapy.

Can I attend if I’ve never done somatic therapy before?
Yes! Many attendees are new to somatic work. The retreat is designed to be safe and accessible for beginners while still offering depth for those who already practice somatic coping skills or attend therapy.
